About This Soap

Persimmon Grove was created around one very special botanical ingredient — persimmon powder.

Persimmons naturally contain tannins, polyphenols, and antioxidant compounds. Persimmon-derived tannins have gained particular attention for their ability to interact with odor-producing compounds, including 2-nonenal, a compound associated with changes in body odor as we age. PubMed

That makes persimmon a wonderful addition to a handcrafted cleansing bar designed for anyone who appreciates a fresh, clean feeling without simply relying on heavy fragrance to cover odors.

We pair the persimmon powder with aloe vera juice, gentle colloidal oatmeal, and silky kaolin clay. The soap itself is made with a rich blend of organic coconut oil, cocoa butter, shea butter, olive oil, castor oil, and avocado oil for a creamy, satisfying lather.

The result is a substantial golden farmhouse bar with a naturally rustic appearance and a bright citrus scent grounded by warm Patchouli.
